Jet Black - RAL NO. 9005
Aniseed
Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough had the idea to add four shade sails to its grounds. The staff wanted the canopies to brighten up the outdoor spaces with a colourful and eye-catching design, provide protection from all sorts of weather, and be multi-purpose by offering shelter for dining, socialising and more. They contacted the canopy and shelter specialists A&S Landscape for help with making this concept a reality.
A&S Landscape looked into all the possible options and used their expertise to design four Maxima StarSail™ shelters for the college. With Jet Black steelwork and Aniseed roofs, the matching designs brought pops of colour to the outdoor areas, and the 5000mm X 5000mm specifications created large spaces for students to safely congregate during rain or wind, or even to get out of the sun. The Maxima StarSail™ is a modern, versatile model that can work as everything from a dining canopy to an outdoor shelter for friends catching up outside, so it was a great choice to meet Prior Pursglove College’s needs. Plus, it has the longest guarantees in the market and the framework sports a Dura-coat™ finish, meaning it will stand the test of time – and British weather!

Shelters have fantastic benefits for many different types of organisations, businesses and institutions, but why are they so useful for college campuses? Here are just a few reasons.
Colleges have to cater to hundreds or even thousands of students and staff, so they need to provide many high-quality facilities. Shelters offer outdoor solutions that allow institutions to make the most of their grounds.
Canopies can be used in various ways, even within the same model! Whether a college has need of a dining canopy where people can eat undercover outside throughout the year or an outdoor classroom where students can learn in the fresh air, a shelter is often the ideal solution.
Colleges often have to compete to attract students but canopies make campuses attractive places to spend time, which can give them the upper hand over nearby institutions.
No matter the style of your campus, the size of your population, or your location, this makes it clear that shelters can greatly improve colleges’ offerings to potential and current students. Give us a call on 01743 444100 today to discuss buying your own shelter.
